Sometimes life just doesn’t slow down. Whether you’re single, married, or divorced, it feels like the world keeps taking pieces of you — your time, your energy, your heart. You keep showing up, you keep pushing through, you keep giving… and somehow, you forget about you.
You take care of everyone else. You make sure the house is fine, the work gets done, the kids are okay, your partner is happy — but when last did you stop and ask, “Am I okay?”
The truth is, you need time out. You deserve it.
Go on that ladies’ camp.
Book that quiet weekend away.
Buy yourself that thing you’ve been putting off because you thought it wasn’t necessary.
It is necessary — because you are necessary.
You’ve been working hard.
You’ve been showing up on days when your heart was heavy.
You’ve smiled through pain, kept faith through fear, and carried others while silently trying to hold yourself together. That takes strength. But even the strongest woman needs rest, joy, and something that’s just hers.
I know how it feels to pour so much into others that you forget what it feels like to be full yourself. I know what it’s like to sit quietly at night and wonder if anyone truly sees how much you do. But God sees it. He sees you.
Even Jesus, in the midst of all His miracles and ministry, took time to rest — to step away from the crowd and just be.
Luke 5:16 says, “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”
If He needed that, so do you.
So, this is your reminder, my dear sister:
💖 Take the break.
💖 Go to that camp.
💖 Buy the dress, the shoes, or the perfume.
💖 Sit in silence with your coffee and let the world wait.
You’ve earned it. You deserve it.
Whether you are single and figuring things out, married and managing it all, or divorced and rediscovering yourself — this is your moment to choose you again.
Because the truth is, you can’t pour from an empty cup.
Fill yours first.
Scripture Reminder:
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 🌿
