Seasons and Reason

Know When It’s Time

There comes a point in life when holding on hurts more than letting go.
When peace whispers louder than the noise you’ve been trying to fix.
When your spirit gently nudges you and says, “It’s time.”

Not every person, place, or situation is meant to stay forever. Some things — and some people — are meant to be lessons, not lifetimes. They come for a reason, they serve a season, and when their purpose is fulfilled, it’s okay to release them.

We often struggle with that truth because our hearts want to hold on. We remember the good moments, the laughter, the dreams we built in our minds. But seasons change, and so do people. Sometimes God closes a door not because He’s punishing you, but because He’s protecting you — from what can no longer grow you.

There’s wisdom in knowing when it’s time:
To stop explaining yourself to people who never listen.
To stop fighting battles that steal your peace.
To stop watering relationships that no longer bear fruit.
To stop returning to places your soul has outgrown.

Change can feel lonely, but it’s often where your growth begins. Don’t fear the ending — embrace it as the space where something new can start.

So if you’ve been feeling that quiet tug in your heart, that uneasy knowing… maybe it’s time.
Time to let go.
Time to move forward.
Time to trust that what’s ahead will be better than what’s behind.

Thought
“To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:1 🌷
