I'm Weary - Day 2

"I, the Lord, said to Israel: You have become weary, but not from worshiping me." Isaiah 43:22

You have fasted many times before and it didn't turn out they way you wanted. You got tired because you don't get the proper nutrition. You feel tired and it makes you not want to take that quiet time and pray, instead you sleep.
The enemy wants to stop you from the ultimate purpose. When you feel tired, tell God why you fasting. Tell God what the purpose is.
He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting." Mark 9:29
God is aware that you are weary, but not of worshiping Him, then you wouldn't have decided to fast again. Fasting is worshiping Him, because you know only He can deliver you from the battles.
This is your second day, and just like He carried you through your first day(yesterday), He will do the same today. Expect that breakthrough and keep on worshiping God.

He Still Remembered - Day 1

"Many times He delivered them; but they rebelled against Him by their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity. Nevertheless He regarded their affliction, when He heard their cries; and for their sake He remembered His covenant." Psalm 106:43-45

This is the first day of the 21 day fast and God reminded me this morning that I will fail, may it be in my thoughts, my attitude, and many others things, but I must remember why Christ died for me. I must remember why I'm fasting, because He remembers His covenant.
PRAYER
"Lord, I pray that you will deliver me from anything that binds me. Enable me to recognize every work of the evil one in my life, and strengthen me to stand strong against it. Thank You that when I feel the death grip of mine in circumstances, You hear my cry for freedom and answer. Set me free Jesus from anything that keeps me from being all You made me to be. Amen!"

Is this not the fast?

The practice of fasting goes much deeper than the act of going without food. God declares that He does not just delight in us going without our daily needs, but delights in loosing the "bonds of wickedness" and undoing "heavy burdens" of those we oppress.
God is calling us to live from His set of values and ethics. Fasting is fine and good and in these days we don't do it enough. Yes we fast but we still harbor destructive thoughts and oppressive attitudes and that does not reflect Christ in us at all.
Ethics supply the foundation for our values. Values supply the power that drives our leadership.
Consider what God expects from a "fasted life."
1. Liberate those who are oppressed (Isaiah 58:6)
2. Share resources with the needy (Isaiah 58:7)
3. Provide shelter for the homeless (Isaiah 58:7
4. Supply clothing to the naked (Isaiah 58:7)
5. Stop accusing and judging others (Isaiah 58:9)

This is what God says:
"Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness. To undo the heavy burdens. To let the oppressed go free. And that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that bring your house to the poor who are cast out.
When you see the naked that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh?
Then your light shall break forth like the morning.
Your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you. The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer;
You shall cry, and the Lord will say, 'Here I am'
Isaiah 58:6-9

Today has it's own

I tell you not to worry about your life. Don't worry about having something to eat, drink, or wear. Isn't life more than food or clothing? Look at the birds in the sky! They don't plant or harvest. They don't even store grain in barns. Yet your Father in heaven takes care of them. Are you not worth more than birds?
Can worry make you live longer? Why worry about clothes? Look how the wild flowers grow. Most of them are never even seen by us. Even Solomon with all his wealth wasn't even clothed as beautiful as them.
God gives such beauty to all of them that grows in the field, even though it's here today and thrown in the fire tomorrow. He will surely do even more for you!
Why do you have such little faith?
Don't worry and then you ask yourselves, "Will we have anything to eat? Will we have anything to drink? Will we have any clothes to wear?"
Only people who don't know God are always worrying about such things. Your Father in heaven knows that you need all of these. But more than anything else, put God's work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well.
DON'T worry about tomorrow. It WILL take care of itself. You have enough to worry about today. - Matthew 6:25-34
These are the words of Jesus. We know it, but do we have faith and say; "I will not worry about tomorrow."
I admit, it's hard. But after reading Jesus' words again today, my faith is stronger and I have peace.
I receive what God told me about 2015. He says: "It's the year you will rest. You will rest in Him. Things will happen all around you, but you will rest. 2014 had many hardships just as Job had, but now you will rest and receive."
#TotallyAmazing
All praise goes to God, for He speaks shall not return void. Amen

Breaking Free

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Learn from the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for the one's who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling
down is part of life. Getting back up is living.

Everyone has some things happening in their lives...and it's a daily thing.
I have had too or let me say, allowed too much drama caused by others. I allowed the same people with the same drama back in to my life. How
sickening is that. They just don't change even though they say they did.
The only solution I had for those people is... I HAD TO CHANGE
I removed myself from their lives and the awesome thing about it is, I DON'T HAVE TO EXPLAIN MYSELF!
For the first time in years I feel good about my decision. I feel
empowered. I feel so much peace and I know my decision serves me well. I don't think it's a bad thing for me to do what's best for me. I have to feel good about myself in order for others to be inspired.
So...I want to encourage you to walk away from the drama. It's good for
your health AND it's especially good for those who's causing it all. It's
not always easy, but IT IS the right thing to do.
This is what God said to me. He gave me the choice.
"You will live by the power of your sword and be your brother's slave. But when you decide to break free, you will break loose." Genesis 27:40

What was my response to God's command. I AM BREAKING FREE FROM THOSE WHO CAUSE DRAMA!

Three Keys For Mom

"...rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer..." - Romans 12:12

It's not easy being a mom these days. Whether you're home full time or working outside the
home, there are challenges. There's a verse of scripture in Romans that contains three keys for moms and, really, anyone who wants to live a victorious life:

Be joyful in hope .
Every mom has hope for her kids. When a mom trusts in the Lord and believes His promises in scripture, she can be joyful in hope for the future of her family.

Persevere in trials .
There will be difficulties and trials for every mom (kids not doing well, times of feeling unappreciated, etc.). But when her hope is grounded in God, she can find strength to endure any trial.

Be devoted to prayer .
Hey, moms, with so many trials and so much out of your control, be devoted to prayer. Turn your concerns, yourfears, and your children over to the Lord. Prayer
is the power source for being a great mom and a great person. Hope, perseverance, and prayer–three keys to victory for moms and most everyone.

Mercy seat

Whatever "Pressure" their came, I can handle it. Always a positive response to any situation and life goes on.
Recently? That was missing from my life. So many things has to be considered.
Hardened? Absolutely!! Why? Focusing too much on what your eyes see. Focusing too on the future. All of where your focus goes, there the power flows. The heart is not just hardened at life, family, friends, but hardened towards God.
Yet God allows me to wake up. He allows me to take that thing that is so important to me "BREATH"
Even though I do all of this against God, I receive mercy, daily. That mercy seat is prepared for me, despite my feelings, attitude towards what I cannot see.
I haven't been writing for a while. Not because I had nothing to write about, I lost interest in the passion God has placed within me.
I lost interest in the one special connection I have with God. Yes I connect with God in prayer, but writing is what draws me so close.
I feel His breathing so loud and yet so tender in my ear. I hear Him telling me what to write. It fulfills me and you the reader. It heals me. It assures me of God's love for me and that He is real.
Through every season, God guarantees a mercy seat. He promised me a journey of peace when I decide not to. Harden my heart towards Him.
"Dear friend, guard Clear Thinking and Common Sense with your life;
    don't for a minute lose sight of them.
They'll keep your soul alive and well,
    they'll keep you fit and attractive.
You'll travel safely,
    you'll neither tire nor trip.
You'll take afternoon naps without a worry,
    you'll enjoy a good night's sleep.
No need to panic over alarms or surprises,
    or predictions that doomsday's just around the corner,
Because God will be right there with you;
    he'll keep you safe and sound." Proverbs 3:21-26
This is God's promise to me and to you. His mercy, IT IS new every morning.

Sir Lesley Scott - God works in mysterious ways

"His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower."

These are the words given to me by Leslie Scott. 86 years old, and still travelling the bus from Mitchells Plain to Bellville and back. Tilting his head while greeting me every night as I get on the bus to go home. I am so fascinated, by the handsome 86 year old gentlemen. (**,)
Not even my husband can top this man's manner.
Finally I got a chance to sit next to him and he smiled. Immediately we started talking and what he said was His purposes will ripen fast, Unfolding every hour; The bud may have a bitter taste, But sweet will be the flower.

I introduced myself, exchanged names and I can actually say, the rest is history. Heheheheeee!!
I was mesmerized by the quote and he he gave a brief explanation what it means. It's almost two weeks since we met and I still can't forget those words. In the beginning of this month, I was told I'm being retrenched  from work and I gave it to God. I did however feel that my time at this place is up and God has something new in store, but I didn't understand the way it was done.
Who am I to question God? Why not just leave it in His hands?

Leslie Scott made it clear that God will reveal the purpose behind everything. It is unclear right now, but in His time I will understand. This morning I am so blessed, because God never lies. He gave me a scripture and I NOW understand what Leslie Scott meant when he gave me that quote.
Jesus answered; "You don't really know what I am doing, but later you will understand." John 13:17

The time has fully come that we wait on God. When God promise you He will not harm you, He means it. We are so scared of the unfamiliar, forgetting this familiar has been unfamiliar not too long ago. If God has brought you till here, He can take you further. This retrenchment is a blessing, because God has blessed me with something new. I am forever grateful. The void that felt empty, has yet again been filled. I didn't understand it then, but I do now according to John 13:7

God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;
He plants His footsteps in the sea
And rides upon the storm.
Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never failing skill
He treasures up His bright designs
And works His sovereign will.
Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
In blessings on your head.
Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust Him for His grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.
His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.
Blind unbelief is sure to err
And scan His work in vain;
God is His own interpreter,
And He will make it plain.

Thank you Sir Leslie Scott......

I heard Him...LOUD and CLEAR!!

Sitting at my desk, I have this yearning to just open my Bible. I knew God wanted to say something to me. There was no need to go to a specific book or scripture, because God had it all worked out. God is so amazing. I am battling to give Him praise for being so faithful. It's like you should and want to praise, but you think "will my praise be enough for what he's doing?"
have you ever been at this point?
I know God is always busy working on something great for you and I, but we have to relax. He cannot have it manifest if we keep on murmuring. He gave me this scripture and I trust Him. The LORD said to Samuel, “Watch, I am going to do something in Israel that will shock those who hear about it." 1 Samuel 3:11
If I were to tell you what happened in the beginning of this month, your question to me would be, "Why are you so calm?" Well, I am calm because I trust His word. I trust Him completely. He said "REST" in Me and I will show you what I will do. Those who doubt my ability will be shocked. Samuel didn't even know God when God told him those words. What more will He do for us who does know Him.

Samuel said "Speak Lord, your servant listens", so we need to know how to respond when God speaks. We should listen and obey. This is what I try to do. It's so hard at times but I do get it right when I focus on and blot all else out. I heard God very clear this morning and I intend to rest in His word and wait.
Won't you do the same?

We battle...

This life given to me, will be made use of. I know there is more I can do to change people's lives. So many woman battle with their inner self. Why do they battle? The keep on looking what other woman are doing.
Do you know that, that other woman might be battling with the very same demon you are battling with. If only we can focus on what we can do to keep us busy and stop focusing on others.
...And do you know what happens when you focus on others and what they do, it prevents you from celebrating the other woman and their success. It prevents you from being a true blessing to others. I battle inside as well, that is why I'm writing this. I'm writing because I want a constant reminder of what I was battling with and how I have overcome that battle. My plea to you today, is to do something that can keep you busy, to overcome that battle inside of.
Discover your inner ability and let it out. Be that woman who know when to focus on yourself and when to focus on others in a positive way.
Life should be enjoyed and not endured. I looked at myself, looked at the other woman who battle inside and I discovered, I Am She!

Now more than ever

I am the girl who can loose focus so easily...and God is saying to me; "Not now Leslene" "Now you have to be more focused than ever before"
The enemy is out to get the child of God and if we're not prayerful and watchful. Things will drastically change. He can use anything or anyone to come up against you.
Have you ever had this feeling while reading a scripture and suddenly you feel something is about to happen and that scripture is an actual warning, that scripture is a sign of what's to come.
That is what I felt yesterday. It happened many times before. You don't know what to do to stop what's about to happen, so you just pray. You might think that God will stop what's to happen because you're praying, but in many of the instances God didn't stop the event but it was for me to work on my response to the event.
God is so amazing, and I believe that if He were to stop every happening in our lives, we will never learn the "How's & When, and Why's"
Whatever happens in our lives, we just have to remember that God is in all things. We give Him glory for all things, because He is mindful of us and He will never leave us nor forsake us.
I Am She!

Feel Every Moment

I'm literally sitting here laughing about everything that happened this year. At one point life seems perfect, I'm havin...
